Today was a more in depth view of Pro Tools. We went over some of the EQing, mic lining, and interfacing hardware. Yet again time going by way to fast. As far as EQ went he showed me the manipulation of the low and high ends of the frequency and balancing them out. As well as the importance of balancing the faders; no only in general but for the higher set mics and lower set mics. Mic lining we went over the inputs and how they work with guitars. He also showed me the system he uses as a receiver and recorder of the tracks before turning it into a mix for pro tools. The lining to that system also works as a playback for the headphone the artists are using. Interface hardware and other hardware he showed me 2 different tools he uses and how they work with the systems on his computer. We manipulated a track again today where we added plug ins, tinkered with faders and eq's, cut down some sounds and added faders, and imported new audio tracks to the mix. We also went over the blending portion of a kick drum to a pre set sound, all in all, to give it more of a punch instead of dense and dull sound. I'm sure i have left a few things out but i think i covered mostly all of it. I'm sure ill have more to elaborate on next week.
