After another breeze of an assignment/quiz covering the science of electricity, I reinforced the content of the lesson by setting up a drum session in Audio Mix House's Studio A using vintage condenser mics which require external power sources (i.e. AKG c24's and c12's). The reason for the external power sources is that these condensers were manufactured before the innovation of phantom power in the late 1960's.
Signal flow in Studio B was also reinforced for the rest of the week during the mixing of a client's full album with heavy emphasis on BAE (Neve-inspired) mic pre's/EQ's and B's 80-channel SSL XL9000.
