Alejandro Rodriguez-DawsonLas Vegas Recording Connection

Shit Happens Posted on 2015-07-31 by Alejandro Rodriguez-Dawson

So an exact week from today the studio was robbed.. at gun point. My buddy Chris was running a late session with two new clients who were fairly young, Chris is only 18 himself, and there was suppose to be some other new clients coming in for a session with no engineer needed. Chris was told to let them in when they arrive and 5 minutes in the clients pulled a gun to Chris's head while he was recording his client. John Brown, the owner of the studio, is always checking the cameras and that night he watch his studio get robbed with guns pointed at his people and called the police immediately. The robbers got away and no body was hurt and Chris, who is also a recoding connection student, is now staying with me and my roommates for a while to help him get back on his feet.

We at Camel Hump Studios have talked about ways of making the studio safer for situations like that and are implementing them as soon as possible.

It just goes to show then anything can happen and we need to be more prepared for the next time it does.
