Major:

Jim Shafer has been creating original music since the early 90's. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and became involved in music and theater during high school. This included singing the lead role in a stage adaption of Pink Floyd's The Wall in his senior year. While attending college, he fronted the rock band Fear of Fate and was one of the main writers of their original material. The band grew a steady following and was one of the highest scored bands in BAM Magazines Battle of the Bands competition. After the dissolve of Fear of Fate, Jim went on to create the soundtracks for indie films A Single Wish, Third World California and Irene.

Jim released his first standalone project Halloween Screams in October 2011. It found him dabbling in the realm of scary story telling through sound effects and dark foreboding moods. The project included a fun rockabilly track called Getting Spooky with the funny accompanying music video featured on YouTube.

Music From the Edge of World was released in July 2013 as a full length project of original instrumentals. Jim took elements of music from all over the world and blended them into a musical experience.

Jim is currently in the studio working on his next project of all new original songs with vocals.
